When Tragedy King met Sanskrit Mahanayak

Sanskrit Shiromani, Sanskrit Kalanidhi, Sanskrit Mahanayak, International Brand Ambassador of Sanskrit and the Cultural Ambassador of World Maharishi Aazaad, who promoted and projected the Sanskrit language by spreading Bhrahma Vakya of Vedas 'Aham Brahmasmi' all over the word, payed his tribute to The Tragedy King Dilip Kumar.



The Tragedy King Dilip Kumar (1922-2021)

Maharishi Aazaad said that, "Dilip Kumar was very close to us, he was an integral part of Bombay Talkies Family. He left a legacy for the people to remember it forever. I had been lucky enough to have met him many times, Dilip kumar was an humble man with great sense of humour. I am deeply saddened by his demise."

Dilip Kumar born on 11 December 1922 was referred as The Tragedy King and has been credited for bringing a distinct form of method acting technique to cinema.

Dilip Kumar debuted as an actor in the film Jwar Bhata (1944), as he was introduced by Rajnarayan Dube and Devika Rani through Bombay Talkies. Jwar Bhata was produced by Bombay Talkies as well.



The Tragedy king left us at the age of 98. The veteran actor's career spanned six decades in Bollywood. He had been admitted to hospital after experiencing breathlessness on June 30. He left us at Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai, on 7 July 2021 at 7:30 am.

Maharishi Aazaad's spokesperson Mrs. Preeti Srivastava said that, "Dilip Kumar was one of the gems from Bombay Talkies. After establishment of Bombay Talkies by Rajnarayan Dube and Devika Rani several superstars were found and Introduced on the silver screen, one of them was The Tragedy King Dilip Kumar, who then on went to create history & his legacy in Indian Cinema."
